Thiefing Parang Band
This one is so funny! Many years ago, in Trinidad and Tobag, parang bands would visit almost every house in their neighbourhood and serenade the family. As a token of appreciation, the family would serve drinks and eats. This video is about a parang group visiting a lady's home and while they were serenading they were stealing the lady's pocessions!

Ay Ay Maria
This song (composed of parang and soco music) was originally sung by Singing Francine of Trinidad and Tobago. This parang group, Los Amigos (also of Trinidad & Tobago), was paying tribute to her by singing this song.

Anita
We are now in the christmas season and traditionally in Trinidad, there are alot of parang competitions and concerts around this time of the year.
Trinidad and Tobago is very close to Venezuela and they also have this parang culture. Parang is mostly sung in Spanish.
Some calypsians sing what we call a soca parang (of course a mixture of soca music and parang music). I am unable to find many videos of these songs. My goals is to post one each day until the end of the christmas season. Lets see how that goes.

Wine & Ben Over
This is what calypso music is today, a lot of the calypsonians use the soca beat. This song has another beat - hip hop - in the mix!

Steelpan
Trinidad and Tobago is famous for its steelpan music. These gentlemen spend many sleepless night during the islands' traditional Carnival season to learn these composiitons each year. As you will see in this video they are dressed casually but at the Finals they are all dressed in the same uniform and would look absolutely magnificant. These perfomances are absolutely fantastic to see. The music that they play are arranged by professional musicians on the island.
A calypso for the current year is choosen and it is arranged by their musicians for the the steelpan. Each steelpan orchestra have their own arranger.

Feeling Good!
I had a great morning. I was using my friend's computer and I realized that my favicons are working on all my bogs!!! Yea!!! The reason for my excitement this morning is, on my computer, the favicon will work on one of my blogs and not the others. I eventually got a bit frustrated and decided to move on to something else. I have already spent a bit of time on this feature, now I see the results today!!! I think my browser needs upgrading.
To take my joy to a higher level, I opened this blog and was playing the videos, so I was being entertained while I was working. You should have seen me humming to myself and 'dancing'! My next project is to add a favicon to my cooking website. This is my happy face..........

Favicon
SUCCESS!!!! I finally have my favicon installed. It took alot of sweat and site hopping but I finally got it right.
I first got the tip from Sneaky Momma Design Tips, this site has lots of good and easy tips for bloggers. I have learned quite a lot since I visited this site.
Step 1
From Sneaky Momma post on this topic I found this site - Favicons4free where I used the code that worked for me.
But before all that I had to get an image that I liked so I googled an image and copied it. This site has a lot of good images too. Icon Archive.
The image that I choose was in jpeg format and I wanted it in png format. So I used Resize Your Image site to do this. I use this site quite often to resize and crop my images for my website.
Step 2
The next thing is to convert the png file to an ico file and reduce the size at Convertico. The size of the file should be 16 x 16. The result would be a url address like this, 'http/www.convertico.com/images/12520481.59/tt.ico'.
After all this has been done, insert the converted file into this code. I was trying to insert the code here for you but it just was not saving. So I will have to revert you back to Favicon4free for the example. Choose any icon, copy the code and the part where the url for the image is, insert your url.
Step 4
Final step, go back to Sneaky Momma Design Tips for the instructions to insert this code into html part of your template.
Conclusion
I do hope my notes has been helpful someone. The last image is of my blog withmy newly installed favicon.
Much success to you!
Update 21st October 2009: This blog recommended this site that does everything.
